Head of Asia and Australia Department Meets Chinese Chargé d’Affaires in Baghdad

The Acting Head of the Asia and Australia Department Mr Haider Radi Nasser al-Shamrti has met the Chinese Chargé d’Affaires in Baghdad,   Mr Jian Fangning. The two sides have reviewed the most important steps taken by the two countries to develop their bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them. They have also touched upon the regional and international issues concerning the two countries.

The two sides have agreed on the need for continuous coordination to enhance mutual interests, as the volume of trade exchange between the two countries increased in 2020 to more than 30 billion dollars.
