On 17/10/2021, the head of the Department of International Organizations and Conferences, Dr. Abbas Kadhem Obaid, , met at the Ministry’s headquarters the ambassadors of Sweden and the Netherlands, and the political advisor of the German Embassy accredited in Baghdad.
During the meeting, they reviewed the international initiatives and resolutions related to the elimination and non-proliferation of nuclear weapons to ensure a safe world free of nuclear and mass destruction weapons. The head of the department emphasized Iraq’s firm positions and its continuous support to all international decisions and initiatives aimed at creating a world free from nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction, and Iraq’s keenness on its commitment to the provisions of the relevant resolutions and their implementation in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Iraq.
