Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Beirut Meets the Lebanese Minister of Interior

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Beirut, Haider Shiya Al-Barrak, has met the Lebanese Minister of the Interior and Municipalities Bassam Mawlawi at the headquarters of the Ministry of Interior.

 At the beginning of the meeting, the Ambassador congratulated the Minister on assuming his new duties as Minister of the Interior and Municipalities in the new Lebanese government, expressing at the same time the intention for further security and intelligence cooperation between the two brotherly countries.

On his part, the Lebanese minister thanked the Iraqi government for its role in helping Lebanon in its status que, looking forward to expanding security cooperation between the two countries.

Minister Plenipotentiary Amin Abdel Ilah Al-Nasrawi has attended the meeting.
