Ambassador Safiayh Alsuhail has met the Minister of national heritage and local arts and administration of Malta

     The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Republic of Malta Safiyah Alsuhail met the Minister of national heritage and local arts and administration of the Republic of Malta Dr. Khosie Herira at the H.Q  of  the Ministry. They discussed the ways of bilateral cooperation between the two countries. They stressed the need to develop the relations and to exchange the visits and cooperation between the two countries and to make use of the Malta  experiment in the  development of historical  and heritage cities and link it to the tourism file and to consolidate the knowledge and abilities of public and private institutions.

    Alsuhail, the Non-resident Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Malta, also emphasized the desire of Iraq to enhance its relation with Malta in various aspects especially the cultural aspect  and to make use of the Maltese experience in the field of maintaining   the cultural heritage in order to develop the Iraqi historical Artifacts, in addition to the support of the joint investments in the touristic, heritage and cultural sectors.

    The two sides agreed to arrange a draft Memorandum of Understanding on the above aspects in cooperation with the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Heritage.
