Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Beirut Meets Mufti of Lebanese Republic

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Beirut, Haider Shyaa Al-Barrak, has met the Lebanon’s Grand Mufti, Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian, at the Dar Al-Ifta. The Ambassador congratulated the Mufti of the Lebanese Republic on the occasion of the Prophet’s Birthday. He also conveyed the greetings of the Iraqi government, stressing that Iraq always stands with the brotherly Lebanon, as government and people in all crises, commending the character of the Mufti and his experience to establish and consolidate the pillars of national unity in Lebanon and the responsibility placed on Dar Al-Fatwa to preserve the civil peace.

On his part, Sheikh Derian thanked Iraq for its permanent supportive stances to Lebanon, pointing out Dar Al-Fatwa’s position on many internal political issues.

The Minister Plenipotentiary Amin Abdulelah Al-Nasrawi attended this meeting.
