Head of Protocol Department Meets Iranian ambassador in Baghdad

The acting head of the Protocol Department, Dr. Ali Shamran Hajem, has met the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Baghdad, Mr. Iraj Masjedi.

 During the meeting, they have emphasized the importance of the bilateral relations between the neighboring States and ways to enhance them based on the principle of mutual interests. The two sides have stressed the importance of the relationship between Baghdad and Tehran, discussing a mechanism to create horizons for cooperation at all levels in the interests of the two peoples, and to work to tackle all difficulties facing the work of the Embassy and Consulates General of both sides so as to the mutual interests.

On his part, the Ambassador extended his thanks for the good reception and hospitality, and for the support and facilities provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs / Protocol Department to the Iranian mission to the Republic of Iraq.

Dr. Shahryar Qader Jaff, Deputy Head of the Protocol Department has attended the meeting.
