Head of Human Rights Department Meets Chargé d’Affairs of Chinese Embassy in Baghdad

The Head of the Human Rights Department, Minister Plenipotentiary Dr. Ali Hilal, met with Mr. Jian Fang Ning, Chargé d’Affairs of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Baghdad on 22/9/21.

 During the meeting, the files under discussion were discussed on the agenda of the 48th session of the Human Rights Council currently taking place in Geneva, and the position of the Asian Group on the human rights situation in different countries.

 The two sides also reviewed their preparations for the work of the Third Committee of the United Nations General Assembly, which will begin its work in New York on 30/9/2021, and the different positions on issues of promotion and protection of human rights, and nominations for the treaty bodies whose elections will be held in   next October.
