Head of International Organizations and Conferences Department meets Emirati Ambassador to Baghdad

Dr. Abbas Kadhem Obaid, Head of the Department of the International Organizations and Conferences, met the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, Mr. Salem Issa Al Qattam Al Zaabi to the Republic of Iraq, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday, August 23, 2021, where the two sides referred to the depth of the bilateral and historical relations between the two brotherly countries.

The two sides discussed ways of cooperation and coordination between the two countries in international organizations and issues of common interest. The UAE ambassador also expressed the readiness of the UAE government to provide aid to Iraq and provide support to the concerned Iraqi institutions.

The Head of the Department of International Organizations and Conferences pointed to the importance of mutual support and coordination in international organizations and nominations for international positions. The UAE Ambassador also extended his thanks and appreciation to the Iraqi government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the support and facilities they provided to the UAE Embassy in Baghdad.
