A Diplomatic-consular delegation arrives in Lithuania to provide support and to facilitate the return of stranded Iraqis.
The delegation began its work today, as it met the investigation officer at the Center of Foreing Immigrants in the camp for Asylum seekers in the border region Pabrade, Mr. Thomas Cibovelsky, and the advisor in the international Cooperation Department of the Border Guards, Mr. Mendakos Ladica.
The two sides had talks about the number of Iraqis in this center, which totals (275), including 14 families. After the meeting, temporary passports were issued to a group of Iraqis wishing to return voluntarily, their living conditions and needs were reviewed, and the priority was given to the humanitarian cases of some of them.
