Ministry of Foreign Affairs Holds Memorial Service in Remembrance of Its Martyrs
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a memorial service in remembrance of its martyrs who were victims of a terrorist bombing the ministry was subjected to in 2009.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, laid a wreath at the monument built by the ministry for this painful incident, and he delivered a speech in which he mourned the martyrs, recalling the active role of Iraqi diplomacy in combating terrorism, and affirming the ministry’s continued coordination with partners and friends in confronting terrorism and its extremist ideology, and drying up its sources and havens.
The Minister valued the support provided by brotherly and friendly countries to Iraq in mitigating the effects of the terrorist incident, and their support for Iraq in the war against the terrorist gangs of ISIS.
