Minister of Foreign Affairs receives copy of credentials of new Ambassador of India to Baghdad
The Foreign Minister, Mr. Fuad Hussein received on Tuesday 17 August 2021 a copy of the credentials of the new Ambassador of India to Baghdad, Mr. Prashant Bisai.
During the meeting, they discussed the development of bilateral relations between Baghdad and New Dalhi, and ways to advance them to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples. The Minister stressed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is ready to provide all support for the success of the diplomatic mission in Baghdad, wishing the ambassador and the mission staff success in strengthening relations between Iraq and India, as the Indian market is considered one of the largest markets for purchasing Iraqi oil, and trade exchange and cooperation can be activated in the political, security, economic, and service fields, after the stage of life return and the neutralization of the threat of the Corona virus.
For his part, the new Ambassador of India to Iraq, Mr. Prashant Bisai, affirmed that he will do everything in his power to increase the volume of cooperation between Iraq and India within the framework of strengthening relations and raising the level of cooperation between the two countries.
