Head of International Organizations and Conferences Department meets Deputy Special Representative of Secretary General of the United Nations, and the Humanitarian Coordinator in Iraq

Acting Head of the International Organizations and Conferences Department, Dr. Abbas Kadhem Obaid, met Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations and the Humanitarian Coordinator in Iraq, Mrs. Irina Vubashkova-Sulliorano on 13/7/2021 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq.

During the meeting, they discussed the management of specialized international organizations and United Nations offices in Iraq, where Dr. Obaid confirmed the provision of all the facilities needed by the United Nations Mission and its offices in Iraq through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the relevant authorities in order to overcome the obstacles they face in performing their lofty tasks, and to facilitate for the conduct of their action plan in Iraq.

For her part, Mrs. Soliorano thanked the Iraqi government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their interest and support in facilitating the work of the UN mission and its various offices and programs in Iraq. The two sides agreed on the need to communicate and provide updates in this regard on a constant basis.
