Minister of Foreign Affairs visits Consular Department and directs its employees to make further efforts to complete procedures as soon as possible
H.E. the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, was briefed on the workflow and providing services to citizens in the Consular Department.
The Minister listened to the most prominent obstacles and problems facing citizens and ways to overcome obstacles and provide the required services, instructing the consular department staff to make more efforts to complete the procedures as soon as possible. He explained that the ministry had taken new steps to facilitate citizens’ access to the Consular Department, and online booking services has been launched to preserve the safety of citizens while authenticating their documents.
He added, we hope that we will be able to offer more, and we hope that online booking has reduced the number of crowds, even slightly.
He also noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has opened authentication offices in (5) provinces to provide consular services to its citizens within a plan set by the ministry to facilitate providing of consular services to citizens, and to avoid travelling to the ministry’s headquarters in Baghdad.
For their part, the citizens praised the work of the Consular Staff in facilitating their procedures through the online reservation system that the ministry recently launched.
