Head of Human Rights Department meets the Charge’ d’Affairs of German Embassy in Baghdad

The Head of Human Rights Department, Plenipotentiary Minister, Dr. Ali Hilal, met the Charge’ d’Affairs of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Baghdad, Mr. Peter Felten on 7/7/2021.

During the meeting, they discussed ways of cooperation between the two countries in the field of promoting and protecting human rights, and Germany’s role in supporting the Iraqi sectoral bodies in implementing the recommendations submitted to the Iraqi government through the universal periodic review mechanism. The two countries, positions on the statements presented within the agenda items of the 47^th session of the Human Rights Council, were also discussed.
