Foreign Ministry’s Senior Undersecretary Receives Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus

On June 14, 2021, the Senior Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mr. Nazar Al-Khairallah, received the Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Mikalai Barysevich and his accompanying delegation, who are visiting Iraq to hold a round of political consultations between the two countries’ foreign ministries.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral cooperation between Iraq and Belarus and strengthening relations in the political, economic, health and education fields.
The two sides stressed the importance of upgrading the level of bilateral relations.
During the meeting, a number of issues related to Iraqi citizens and students studying in Belarusian universities, and the importance of overcoming the obstacles they face, were also discussed.
The two sides also dealt with a number of international issues and challenges, especially with regards to combating terrorism, global efforts to combat the Corona virus, and political developments in the international and regional arena.
