Acting Head of Human Rights Department Meets Chinese Ambassador to Iraq

On 24 May 2021, the acting head of the Human Rights Department Dr. Ali Hilal met H.E. Mr. Zhang Tao, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Baghdad.

During the meeting, joint stances were coordinated in preparation for the work of the 47th session of the Human Rights Council and the role of the Asian Group in the promotion and protection of human rights.
Both sides also discussed the most important joint statements to be presented at the next session of the council, which will start next June.
