Undersecretary for Legal and Multilateral Affairs Meets United Nations’ Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG)

On 16 May 2021, H.E. Dr. Qahtan Al-Janabi, Undersecretary for Legal and Multilateral Affairs, met H.E. Mrs. Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert, SRSG of the United Nations and Head of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI), at the Ministry’s headquarters.
The two sides discussed a number of issues related to the work of the UNAMI mission in Iraq within the framework of joint cooperation between Iraq and the UN mission within its mandate.
They also discussed coordination mechanisms between the Iraqi government and UNAMI for the purpose of carrying out tasks under the mission’s mandate.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Abbas Obeid, acting head of the International Organizations and Conferences Department.
