Acting Head of Department of International Organizations and Conferences Meets Russian Ambassador

On 21 April 2021, the Acting Head of the Department of International Organizations and Conferences, Dr. Abbas Obaid, met Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Baghdad, Mr. Maxim Maximov, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, views were exchanged on the topics raised in international organizations and developments related to them, as well as the importance of reaching a common vision between countries to solve current outstanding issues, and the importance of prioritizing dialogue to reach durable solutions and move in accordance with professional and technical standards of international organizations in dealing with these issues.
At the end of the meeting, the two sides affirmed the depth of bilateral relations between the two countries and their aspiration to enhance fruitful bilateral cooperation between the two countries as well as in international organizations.
