Minister of Foreign Affairs Receives Ambassador of the Russian Federation, on the Occasion of Ending his Duties in Baghdad

On 21 April 2021, Foreign Minister H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein, received the Russian Ambassador to Baghdad, Mr. Maxim Maximov, on the occasion of the end of his duties in Baghdad.

During the meeting, they reviewed the progress of bilateral relations between Baghdad and Moscow, and emphasized the importance of increasing the volume of cooperation in all fields.
The Minister wished the Ambassador success in his future diplomatic duties, praising his efforts in strengthening bilateral relations, and calling for the need to expand horizons of cooperation between the two countries, In addition to working and coordinating in all aspects that would provide security and stability for the whole region and the world.

For his part, Mr. Maximov thanked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the success of the diplomatic mission in Baghdad, affirming his country’s continued support for Iraq and work to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
