Ambassador of Iraq to Italy meets Council of Arab Ambassadors and Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation

The Ambassador of Iraq to Italy H.E. Mrs. Safia Al-Suhail participated in the virtual meeting held by the Council of Arab Ambassadors in Rome on Friday, 26 March 2021, with the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation H.E. Mr. Luigi Di Maio who welcomed the Arab ambassadors, and briefed them on Italy’s stances towards Arab issues including the nuclear agreement with Iran, as well as Italian regional and international relations, and Italy’s role through its presidency of the G20, hosting of the World Health Summit in May 2021, and the G20 leaders’ summit next October in discussing facing the Corona pandemic, climate change, development, and restoring economic stability in global markets.
Minister Di Maio reiterated Italy’s support of a just and sustainable solution in the Palestinian territories, and the resort to peaceful solutions to end conflicts, and Italy and the European Union stand with all initiatives that advance sustainable development projects in the region.
