Ambassador of Iraq to the United Arab Emirates Meets the Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence
On Wednesday 17 March 2021, the Ambassador of Iraq to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Dr. Mudaffar Mustafa Al-Jubouri met the Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence in the (UAE) Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan at his palace in Abu Dhabi.
At the beginning of the meeting, H. E. Mr. Al Nahyan welcomed H.E. Mr. Al Jubouri and congratulated him on the occasion of assuming his duties and wished him success and fruitful residence in his second country, the UAE.
During the meeting, they discussed strengthening the Iraqi-Emirati relations in a way that serves the interests of the two countries and their peoples.
H.E. Mr. Al Nahyan appreciated the Iraqi leadership’s keenness to focus the attention on strengthening relations with the UAE, praising the Iraqi contribution to the establishment of the UAE, and expressed his optimism about the improvement of the situation in Iraq with the great efforts exerted by Prime Minister H.E. Mr. Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, and affirmed that the Iraqi people should take their place in the development and progress of civilization.
During the meeting, Ambassador Al Jubouri reviewed the results of the visit of His Holiness Pope Francis to Iraq, stressing that it reflected a positive image of the great and important diversity in Iraq, and also expressed his pride in the Emirates because it created an important model in which it preserved its Arab values and at the same time contributed to modernity, development and progress. He also stressed that the method of adopting the principle of tolerance is very important because it is the basis of political and security stability.
Ambassador Al Jubouri concluded the meeting by proposing a number of initiatives aiming to activate work with the Ministry of Tolerance.
