The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland Congratulates the Iraqi Minister of Foreign Affairs on the Success of the Visit of His Holiness Pope Francis to Iraq

Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein received a phone call from Mr. Pekka Haavisto, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland, who congratulated him for the success of the visit of His Holiness Pope Francis to Iraq, and pointed out the positive impact of this visit in projecting the good security situation in Iraq, especially in the cities visited by His Holiness.

The two ministers discussed bilateral relations and joint cooperation in various economic and diplomatic fields, in addition to the political, security and regional situations.
They also discussed the Helsinki Forum, which brings together leaders and politicians of the region, to be held in the coming months. Minister Haavisto extended an official invitation to Minister Fouad Hussein to participate in the mentioned Forum.
On his part, the Iraqi Minister of Foreign Affairs extended appreciation to his Finnish counterpart for the call and the invitation.
