The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad Meets with President of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Karachi

Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad, Mr. Hamid Abbas Lafta, met with on 26/1/2021, the President of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Karachi, Mr. Mian Nasir Hayat, and a number of members at the Federation headquarters.

During their meeting they reviewed the volume of trade exchange between the two countries, and the ambition to increase it to a level befitting the size of the relationship between Iraq and Pakistan.

The two sides also discussed prospects for cooperation with the Iraqi chambers of commerce to expand the field of economic work, and develop the work of chambers of commerce, in a way that strengthens economic partnership, and establishes cooperation with the public and private sectors.

The Ambassador affirmed his endeavor to overcome all difficulties in terms of granting entry visas to Pakistani investors and businessmen to Iraq.

At the end of the meeting the two sides stressed the issue of mutual delegations in a manner that meets the level of ambition, expressing their satisfaction in achieving the desire for joint cooperation at the level of commercial and economic work.
