Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein met with the Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Morocco, Mr. Nasser Bourita, through video conference technology.
During the meeting, Minister Fuad Hussein expressed his appreciation for the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries, which are based on political, economic, cultural and historical aspects.
Minister Fuad Hussein stressed Iraq’s desire to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and to coordinate common issues in international organizations.
The Minister requested the Moroccan side to facilitate the entry of Iraqi citizens to Morocco, calling for the reopening of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Baghdad.
On his part, the Moroccan Foreign Minister Mr. Nasser Bourita expressed his sincere condolences to the government and people of Iraq following the bombing that took place this morning in Baghdad, stressing his country’s solidarity and standing by Iraq and supporting the Iraqi government in fighting terrorism.
On his part, the Minister sent an official invitation to the Moroccan Foreign Minister to visit Baghdad, in turn, Mr. Bourita thanked the Minister for this generous invitation and looks forward to meeting it as soon as possible, and made an official invitation to the Minister to visit the Kingdom of Morocco.
