Electing Iraq as deputy head of the 6th conference for the review of banning and restricting the conventional weapons
Iraq elected as deputy head of the 6th conference to review the convention of banning or restricting the usage of specific conventional weapons of highly damaging or random effect (CCW). Held in Geneva for the period (13-17/12/2021).
Iraq’s election for this position an embodying of the positive and constructive role played by Iraq within the convention framework of banning or restricting the usage of specific conventional weapons of highly damageable or random effect, and clarifying the national attitudes related to executing the provisions and protocols of (CCW) Convention, particularly the issues related to explosives of the war remains and the national efforts exerted to clear the Iraqi territories from these explosives including those who left by daesh terrorist, Iraq also seeking more international support to enhance the efforts exerted to fulfill the provisions of (CCW) Convention and providing assistance to the terror victims and reconstruction process and ensure safe return to the internal displaced persons.
