Ambassador Mohammed al Sader participates in the thirty second session of the General Assembly of the International Maritime Organisation

The Ambassador Mohammed Jaffar al Sader – the permanent representative of the Republic of Iraq to the International Maritime Organisation has participated in the opening ceremony of the General Assembly of the International Maritime Organisation in its thirty second session which was held in the United Kingdom.

During the opening ceremony, the Ambassador of the Philippines in the United Kingdom Mr Antonio Lakdamio has been chosen to be a chairman of the meetings of the General Assembly of the organisation in its thirty second session on 6 – 15/12/2021, as well as selecting his deputies.   

The Secretary General of the International Maritime Organisation Mr Kitack Lim; the deputy of the permanent representative at the Maritime Organisation Mr Ali Odai Moussa; the Maritime Attaché of the Republic of Iraq at the Organisation Mr Mazin Al Kaby; and all representatives of the member states at the Organisation have attended the meeting.

The participation of the Embassy and Maritime Attachés office in all meetings of the technical primary and subsidiary committees of the International Maritime Organisation is to confirm Iraq’s commitment to the international criteria of the work of the maritime sector and to develop the maritime industry in Iraq to promote it to higher levels.
