Head of the Department of Neighbouring Countries meets the Iranian Ambassador to Iraq
The Acting Head of the Department of Neighbouring Countries, Mr Ihsan Yasin al-Awwadi met on 28th October, 2021, the Iranian ambassador to Iraq, Mr Areej Masjidi at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ headquartes.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries on various levels. They also touched upon the schedule of planned mutual official visits and the steps that should be implemented by the two sides in foreseeable future for the continuation to enhance the means of joint cooperation in the interest of the two neighbouring countries.
On his part, the Iranian ambassador affirmed the importance of cooperation and coordination in terms of the submitted issues. He has also extended his thanks to the Iraqi government on its last decision to grant the entry visas to the Iranian citizens in Iraqi airports.
