Foreign Minister opens the Iraqi pavilion in Expo Dubai 2020

H.E. Dr. Fu’ad Hussein the minister of foreign affairs has opened on Sunday, 18/10/2021, the Iraqi pavilion in Dubai Expo 2020, with the presence of Mr. Khalifa Shaheen Al Murar, the State Minister at the  Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of UAE, and Mrs. Suha Al najar the head of the investment committee and Dr. Mudhafar Al Jubori the ambassador of Iraq to Abu Dhabi, in addition to the undersecretaries of the ministry of Trade and Ministry of culture, H.E. the Foreign Minister has stressed in his speech on this occasion that this global event is an opportunity to achieve more cooperation in different fields between Iraq and UAE in order to serve the interests of the peoples of the two countries and benefit our countries and the world as a whole, adding ” we are looking forward to a real partnership with the world in terms of the development and investment to achieve growth .. Taking into consideration the mutual interests and pointing out further cooperation will not be completed without the realization of stability, H.E. also stressed that the Iraqi government had exerted exceptional efforts to vitalize the economic aspect and accelerated the measures to overcome the obstacles that impedes the investment within the country.

H.E. toured in a number of the pavilions of the countries participating   in the Expo and listened to briefings from the people in the pavilion’s in charge.

The opening ceremony attended by a number of undersecretaries of the Iraqi ministries and number of Arab and foreign state ambassadors accredited to the UAE. In addition to cultural and social figures in the UAE.
