Minister of Foreign Affairs Receives a Copy of the New Czech Ambassador Credentials

Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, on Monday, October 4, 2021received a copy of the credentials of Mr. Peter Štepanek, the new Czech Ambassador in Baghdad.

The bilateral relations between the two countries were discussed, next to the ceremony of receiving the credentials, in which the Minister pointed out to the importance of the relations between the two countries at all levels, in addition to levels of cooperation that concern the two friendly peoples, especially in the investment and military spheres, stressing the need to activate economic cooperation, encourage investment in the two countries, and work on signing unfinished agreements between them, wishing the new ambassador success in his mission, and the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ readiness to provide everything that would make his diplomatic mission in Baghdad successful.

For his part, Mr. Štepanek affirmed his country’s support for Iraq in all fields, and its aspiration to raise the level of cooperation and coordination between the two countries, to achieve aspirations of the two friendly peoples, pointing to the intention of Czech investors to enter the foreign markets, and to contribute in supporting the service, scientific, and cultural fields.
