Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Riyadh meets Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah

Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia dr. Abdul Sattar Hadi Al-Janabi, met the Saudi Designated Minister of Hajj and Umrah in charge, Dr. Issam bin Saad bin Saeed, at the Ministry’s headquarters in the Royal Court in Riyadh.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, and the development of services provided to Iraqi pilgrims and Umrah performers.

Mr. Al Janabi thanked and appreciated the great efforts made by the Saudi government and the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in facilitating the performance of the Hajj and Umrah rituals. The ambassador presented some proposals that facilitate the movement of Iraqi pilgrims and Umrah performers.

For his part, Dr. Bin Saeed confirmed that these proposals are of interest and care, and that they will work with the relevant authorities in the Kingdom to find appropriate solutions for them in a way that makes it easier for the Iraqi brothers to perform their rituals with ease, noting that the Corona pandemic has led to a change in many daily habits, mechanisms and strategies in various sectors, including the performance of Hajj and Umrah rituals. The Saudi government and the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah have been keen to ensure that there is no interruption in the performance of the Hajj, taking into account the protection of human life.
