Iraq elected Vice-President of General Conference on International Atomic Energy Agency
Iraq was elected on Monday 20/9/2021as Vice-President of the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in its 65th session, which started its work at the Vienna International Center, with actual and virtual presence and high-level international participation.
The conference is one of the most important annual international conferences in Vienna. It comes within the framework of achieving the goals for which the International Atomic Energy Agency was established, foremost of which is the peaceful use of atomic energy and the prevention of nuclear proliferation.
This entitlement at the International Atomic Energy Agency came within the framework of Iraq’s return to its appropriate position in the relevant international conferences and forums.
