Iraq chairs High-Level discussion session of 65th session of General Conference of International Atomic Energy Agency

The Permanent Representative of the Republic of Iraq to the International Atomic Energy Agency, Ambassador Bakr Fattah Hussein, chaired on Tuesday 21/9/2021 the high-level General Discussion Session of the work of the 65th session of the International Atomic Energy Agency Conference, during the second day of the work of the General Conference of the Agency, in his capacity as Vice-President of the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency, with wide high-level international participation. 

In the session, many delegations of the Agency’s member states, including ministers and deputy ministers, gave their national statements during the session’s work, with actual and virtual participation, which reflected the national concerns and activities of those countries in the areas related to the Agency’s work in the framework of promoting the optimal peaceful use of nuclear technology in serving humanity and the prevention of nuclear proliferation within achieving the goals for which the International Atomic Energy Agency was established.
