Foreign Minister Meets his Saudi Counterpart

On the sidelines of his visit  to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to participate in the joint ministerial meeting of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein met on Thursday 16/9/2021 with Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 During the meeting, the two sides discussed relations between Baghdad and Riyadh and ways of cooperation between them to achieve interests of the two brotherly countries.

They also discussed results of the Joint Higher Coordinating Committee meetings, and their repercussions on the economic and investment.

Mr. Hussein indicated that doors of investment in Iraq are open for the Saudi companies to work and support the economic sector.

For his part, the Saudi Foreign Minister praised efforts of the Iraqi government in the success of the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership, and praised its preparations for elections.

The Saudi minister stressed importance of developing relations between Iraq and the Kingdom to serve interest of both brotherly countries.
