Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in Coordination with the National Security Advisory, Hosts the Pakistani Ambassador in Baghdad

Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in coordination with the National Security Advisory, held a strategic dialogue session at the Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies on September 9, 2021, with the presence of the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mr. Ahmed Amjad Ali, and Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad, Mr. Hamid Abbas Lafta.

The session was opened by the Strategic Affairs Adviser on behalf of the National Security Adviser, which included two topics, a review of the Common Interests Between Iraq and Pakistan presented by the Pakistani ambassador, and the Current Areas of Cooperation presented by the Iraqi ambassador in Islamabad. and its direct and indirect effects on Iraq and the region.

The dialogue highlighted the most important and promising areas of cooperation between Iraq and Pakistan in the fields of Education, Security, Tourism, Religious Visits, Oil, Energy, Investment and high-level training, and Mutual visits by officials of the two countries.

The Pakistani Ambassador explained his government’s interest in combating Islam Phobia and its impact on the world public opinion.

The dialogue session, which was attended by specialists, officials and researchers concerned with strategic affairs. ended with important recommendations that the National Security Adviser will follow up in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
