Foreign Minister Participates in Tripartite Meeting with Foreign Ministers of Egypt and Jordan in Doha

On 15 June 2021, Foreign Minister, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein participated in the meeting of the Tripartite Coordination Mechanism with the Foreign Ministers of Egypt, H.E. Mr. Sameh Shoukry, and H.E. Mr. Ayman Al-Safadi of Jordan, on the sidelines of the consultative meeting of Arab Foreign Ministers held in Doha, to advance the course of cooperation between the three brotherly countries and consultation on issues of common interest.
The meeting witnessed an emphasis on the need to advance and develop cooperation and coordination between Baghdad, Cairo and Amman, and work to explore further areas of cooperation to achieve the aspirations of the brotherly peoples.
The meeting also highlighted the need for continued consultation and coordination of positions towards common challenges and regional developments, especially in Syria and Libya, as well as the developments of the Palestinian cause.
The ministers also touched on some issues related to the work of the Arab League, stressing that preparations are underway to hold the next summit meeting between the heads of the three countries in Baghdad.
