Iraqi Chargé d’Affaires in Muscat Meets with Yemeni Minister of Foreign Affairs

The Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Muscat, Dr. Muhammad Issa Al-Issawi, met the Yemeni Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak. The two sides discussed the brotherly relations of the two countries, as well as regional and international peace efforts in light of the UN initiative to end the war and stop the Yemeni bloodshed, and coordinate in this regard.
They also touched on the importance of utilizing regional and international initiatives to bring peace to the Yemeni people, highlighting the importance that the two sides; the legitimate government and the Ansar Allah Houthi group make concessions to put an end the worst humanitarian crisis in the world and allow aid to reach the Yemeni people.
In conclusion, the Yemeni Foreign Minister commended the role of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, for their sponsorship and hosting of the Saudi-Iranian dialogue in Baghdad, and this would alleviate the intensity of the Yemeni-Yemeni conflict and could make progress in resolving the Yemeni crisis.
