Minister of Foreign Affairs Receives Copy of Credentials of Non-Resident Ethiopian Ambassador to Baghdad

On June 1st, 2021, Foreign Minister, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein received a copy of the credentials of Hasen Taju Legas, the non-resident ambassador of the Federal Republic of Ethiopia to Baghdad.

The two sides discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, and ways to enhance them to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples.

The Minister expressed Baghdad’s interest in strengthening communication between officials of the two countries and opening channels for bilateral cooperation, calling for the need to continue working to raise the levels of coordination and consultation at all levels. He wished the Ambassador success in fulfilling his duties in Baghdad, expressing the readiness of the Ministry to provide all necessary services to the diplomatic mission to achieve the common interests between the two countries. He also expressed the Ministry’s keenness for Ethiopia to open a resident embassy in Baghdad; due to its positive impact on the development of bilateral relations.
