Minister of Foreign Affairs Receives Copy of credentials of non-resident Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Baghdad

On June 1st, 2021, Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein received a copy of the credentials of the non-resident Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Baghdad, H.E. Mr. Bakhromjon Aloev.

The two sides discussed ways to advance bilateral relations between the two countries, and the importance of enhancing opportunities for cooperation at various levels to meet the aspirations of the two peoples.

The Minister stressed the importance of opening wider horizons for constructive cooperation, stressing that Iraq’s strategy in its relations stems from taking into account common interests with countries of the world in a manner that serves progress and prosperity for our people and other friendly peoples. He also emphasized the Ministry’s aspiration for Uzbekistan to open a resident embassy in Baghdad; due to its positive impact on the development of bilateral relations.

For his part, the Ambassador stressed his country’s interest in the advancement of bilateral relations, noting that he will make all efforts to strengthen and develop relations between the two countries.
