The Iraqi government welcomes reaching a ceasefire agreement on the Palestinian citizens. We commend the Arab and international efforts that helped to achieve it, especially the efforts of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The courageous stances of the Palestinian people as they defend their land and holy places were and remain the theme of our solidarity and our principled support for the Palestinian cause.

While we affirm the need to reach a just and comprehensive solution to this pivotal issue, we pray for mercy to the souls of the martyrs that ascended during the fights, and wish the wounded a quick recovery.
