Ambassador Mudhafar Al-Jbori Presents Credentials as Permanent Representative of Iraq to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA)

On 28 April 2021, the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the United Arab Emirates, Dr. Mudhafar Al-Jbori, presented his credentials as the permanent representative of the Republic of Iraq to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), to the Director General, Mr. Francesco La Camera, at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi.

During the credentials presentation ceremony, Mr. Al-Jbori affirmed the support of the Republic of Iraq for the role and efforts exerted by the Agency in developing sustainability mechanisms of renewable energy. He pointed to Iraq’s keenness to actively participate in the agency’s activities and conferences and to benefit from the experiences of developed countries in this field, stressing that Iraq’s future plans for renewable energy are to be at the forefront of projects in a way that contributes to advancing sustainable economic development.

For his part, Mr. La Camera welcomed Ambassador Al-Jbori and expressed happiness with Iraq’s appointment of a permanent delegate, as this will contribute to the consolidation of joint cooperation between Iraq and IRENA. He also expressed his readiness to cooperate and communicate with the relevant Iraqi authorities in this field and at all levels, and wished Mr. Al-Jbori success on his mission.
