Iraqi Foreign Minister Receives Copy of credentials of newly appointed Ambassador of UAE

Foreign Minister H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein received a copy of the credentials of the new Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, Mr. Salem Issa Al-Zaabi.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the progress of bilateral relations between Iraq and the UAE and ways to enhance them. The minister wished Mr. Al – Zaabi success in his duties in Baghdad, affirming that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will provide support for the UAE mission to strengthen relations between the two countries, noting that the success of diplomatic work is measured by the progress and enhancement of the relations between the two countries, which will be reflected on the security and political cooperation and coordination, in addition to development in economic field.
Mr. Hussien further explained that Iraq has a fertile economic environment, and there are many investment opportunities that will enhance the prospects for joint cooperation, stressing that Iraq’s strategy is to build relationships based on commitment to common aspects that unite Iraq with the different countries of the world, especially in deepening common interests and facing common risks.
For his part, Mr. Al-Zaabi affirmed that his country continues to support Iraq and seeks to strengthen bilateral relations, indicating that he will exert every diplomatic effort to work closely with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to improve the level of relations between Iraq and the UAE.
