Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly Receives Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein

Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly received in his office in Cairo the Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein on Monday 8/2/2021.

During the meeting, they reviewed the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries at various levels, including the energy, health, reconstruction, transport and education sectors.

The Egyptian Prime Minister expressed his condolences to the Iraqi people for the martyrdom of a number of citizens following the terrorist attack that targeted the capital Baghdad on 21/1/2021, expressing the solidarity of Egypt, government and people, with Iraq in its war against terrorism and pointed to his visit to Baghdad, and the decisions that were agreed upon by the two sides, which would bring about qualitative growth in building practical cooperation between the two countries.

On his part, Minister Fuad Hussein thanked the Prime Minister for the reception, conveying the greetings of the Iraqi leadership in particular Prime Minister Mr. Mustafa Al-Kadhimi , expressing gratitude for the solidarity of the Egyptian government with the Iraqi people in their confrontation with terrorism, thanking him for the sympathy for the victims of the terrorist attack and affirmed the depth of relations between the two brotherly countries.
Minister Fuad Hussein also briefed the Egyptian Prime Minister, Dr. Mustafa Madbouly on the results of his tripartite meeting, which included his Jordanian and Egyptian counterparts held on the sidelines of the emergency ministerial meeting of the League of Arab States.
At the end of the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of continuing to communicate in order to evaluate the steps that have been taken in order to activate the memorandums of understanding that were signed between the two countries or that concern tripartite cooperation within the established coordination mechanism.
