The Ambassador of Republic of Iraq to Prague Meets with Chairman of Foreign Affairs Committee of the Czech Chamber of Deputies

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Prague Mrs. Sundus Omar Ali met with the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Czech Chamber of Deputies Mr. Ondřej Veselý, and the two sides discussed the events in Iraq and the Middle East.

The Ambassador emphasized the importance of respecting the sovereignty of Iraq, non-interference in its internal affairs, and the use of its lands as a battleground between the conflicting external parties, stating that the Iraqi constitution guarantees the right to peaceful protest, and that the government was keen to achieve the legitimate demands of the demonstrators through reforms, indicating the possibility of benefiting from the Czech experience in private sector development.
