The Foreign Minister Inaugurates Two Consular Sections in Erbil and Sulaymaniyah

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim inaugurated two consular sections in Erbil and Sulaymaniyah to provide consular services to citizens of Iraqi Kurdistan and the neighboring regions.

Minister Alhakim gave a speech at the opening ceremonies in which he affirmed that the Ministry is making all efforts to overcome obstacles facing citizens, and is keen to reduce the inconvenience of traveling to Baghdad to complete consular documents.

Minister Alhakim called on working in every way possible to provide the best means for ratification of the required documents, stressing the importance of keeping pace with the movement of citizens ’needs in every region of Iraq.

This comes within the framework of the Ministry’s plan to expand its consular services, both inside and outside Iraq.
