The Permanent Representative of Iraq to United Nations in Geneva Addresses (Asia and the Pacific) Group at Sixty-Ninth Executive Session of Trade and Development Board
The Permanent Representative of the Republic of Iraq to the United Nations in Geneva, Ambassador Hussein Mahmoud Al-Khatib addressed the Asia Pacific Group ( Iraq is the coordinator of the group) at the sixty-ninth executive session of the Trade and Development Board at the Palais des Nations in Geneva.
The Permanent Representative commended the efforts of Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Dr. Mukhisa Kituyi, and expressed the readiness of the Asia and Pacific Group to actively contribute to the preparation of the fifteenth conference of UNCTAD to be held in October 2020 in Barbados, and called for the need to revitalize the governmental mechanism in UNCTAD and welcomed the 2019 Least Developed Countries Report.
