Dean of Foreign Service Institute and Permanent Representative in Geneva Meet the Assistant Secretary-General of United Nations and Executive Director of United Nations Institute for Training and Research

Dean of the Foreign Service Institute Ambassador Saleh Al-Tamimi and the permanent representative of the Republic of Iraq in Geneva Ambassador Hussein Mahmoud Al-Khatib met with Mr. Nikhil Seth, Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations, Executive Director of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and Mr. Rabih El-Haddad, Director of the Department of Multiple Diplomacy at (UNITAR) at the Institute’s headquarters in Geneva, during the meeting, issues of common concern were discussed and focus on developing diplomatic skills for Foreign Ministry staff and various other Iraqi institutions and the possibility of the institute providing training courses in many issues, including training programs in satellite image analysis to reduce the effects of disasters in addition to training in developing capabilities to use Geographic technology and other training programs in waste management to mitigate the negative impacts on the environment.
