Iraq Participates in First Joint Session of Permanent Delegates to League of Arab States with Ambassadors of Political and Security Committee of Council of European Union on Climate Change and Security

The first joint session of the permanent delegates to the League of Arab States was held at the headquarters of the Council of the European Union in Brussels with the Ambassadors of the Political and Security Committee of the Council of the European Union on the topic of climate change and security.

The meeting was chaired by Ambassador Ahmed Nayef Rashid Al-Dulaimi, on the European side by Ambassador Sofi , and the Iraqi delegation headed by Ambassador Sadiq Al-Rikabi, in the presence of the Assistant Secretary-General of the League of Arab States for Political and Security Affairs Ambassador Dr. Khaled Nayef Al-Habbas and delegates of the member states of the League of Arab States in addition to Ambassadors of the Political and Security Committee in the Council of the European Union.

The meeting discussed the importance of climate change and its impact on security and the need for countries to cooperate to reach common agreements and policies that reduce the impact of climate on security.
