The Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in London Participates in a Celebration of Accomplishing Works of Basra Civilization Museum

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in London Mr. Mohammad Jaafar Al-Sadr, participated in a celebration of accomplishing the works of the Basra Civilization Museum organized by the British Institute for the Study of Iraq and the Society of Friends of the Basra Museum in the British capital, London.

The Ambassador delivered a speech in which he stressed the important role of culture in building societies and the need to protect the great historical heritage of Iraq, for the Basra Civilization Museum is an important step in this direction, as he remembered with great sadness the late Iraqi archaeologist Dr. Lamia Al-Gailani who was one of the founders of this museum, as he called British institutions and companies to support Iraq culturally and economically
