A Telephone Call between Iraqi and Lebanese Foreign Ministers

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim received a phone call from his Lebanese counterpart, Mr. Gebran Bassil, and the two sides discussed the most important issues of common concern between the two brotherly countries, and the latest developments on the Iraqi and Lebanese arenas.

Minister Bassil touched during the conversation on the recent events in Iraq, affirming Lebanon’s full support for the Iraqi government and people, and its standing with Iraq.

On his part, Minister Alhakim assured Iraq’s great confidence in the brotherly relations that bind the two brotherly countries, and the importance of continuing coordination in various fields in a way that achieves common interests, regarding the US attacks on the Popular Mobilisation Forces , Iraq will take all necessary legal measures to protect its land and citizens from such violations.
