The Acting Head of the Arab Department Meets with Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Iraq

The acting head of the Arab Department, Mr. Osama Mahdi Ghanem, met with the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Iraq Mr. Hamid bin Ahmed bin Aqeel Abdoos at the Ministry’s headquarters. The head of the Arab Department congratulated the Omani ambassador on the occasion of assuming his duties as ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Iraq, affirming that the Foreign Ministry and all Iraqi Ministries would assist in the success of his work and stated the depth of bilateral relations and ways to enhance them for the interest of the two brotherly countries and peoples, and the topic of holding the ninth session of the joint Iraqi-Omani committee in the first quarter of next year 2021 was discussed, in addition to a number of issues of common concern.

On his part, the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman expressed his deep thanks and appreciation for the warm reception and the great facilities presented from the Foreign Ministry and the competent Iraqi authorities, stressing the importance of Iraqi-Omani relations and their development in the interest of both countries.
